The Doe River is one of Tennessee's premier freestone trout streams, rising from Roan Mountain in Carter County. We specialize in intimate blue line wading trips through the gorge section — dramatic canyon walls, plunge pools, and wild brown trout that rarely see a fly.
This is technical, rewarding water. Small casts under overhanging rhododendron, careful wading through boulder gardens, and the chance to land a 16+ inch wild brown in a remote mountain stream. No crowds. No stocked fish.
